About The Position

HealthWorks is seeking a Per Diem Occupational Therapist to join our growing hand therapy team in Morgantown, West Virginia. This position offers flexible weekday coverage, including occasional evening hours until 7:00 p.m. The primary caseload consists of upper extremity and hand conditions, including tendon injuries, sprains, strains, post-operative fractures, and other orthopedic diagnoses. We are looking for a clinician with strong hand therapy skills, including experience fabricating custom splints. You will work alongside experienced hand therapists, including Certified Hand Therapists (CHTs), in a collaborative environment focused on exceptional patient outcomes and clinical growth.

Requirements

  • Occupational Therapist (OT) license or eligibility in West Virginia
  • Minimum of one year of outpatient experience
  • Graduate of an accredited school for occupational or physical therapy
  • Hold specialty certification or licensure in hand therapy
  • National registration and state licensure or registration required
  • CPR certification
  • Valid state driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hand therapy and custom splinting strongly preferred
  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is preferred, but not required
  • New graduates with Level II fieldwork experience in hand therapy are encouraged to apply
  • A dependable and flexible clinician who enjoys treating upper extremity conditions
  • Ability to provide coverage at our Maple Drive location
  • Interest in supporting the growth of hand therapy services across nearby locations as referral volume expands
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Previous,demonstrated marketing experience
  • Solid experience in application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
  • Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs.
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients.
  • Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
  • Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
