Requirements
- Experience as a Hand Therapist
- An Occupational Therapy/ Physical Therapy degree from an accredited CAPTE school
- Hold an active Occupational Therapy/ Physical Therapy license for either Maryland, Virginia or Washington DC (depending on location) or the ability to get licensed in the states we operate.
Nice To Haves
- A Certified Hand Therapist is preferred, however applicants with a strong orthopedic background and some hand experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Perform a comprehensive physical examination during the first patient visit to determine an appropriate course of care
- Execute and conduct the rehabilitation program
- Construction of splints and adaptive equipment for patients
- Consult with OT/PT colleagues when needed to enhance patient outcomes
- Communicate with referring physicians on an as-needed basis
- Work collaboratively with support staff and patient service coordinators
