Hand Surgeon Independent 1099
About The Position
Concentra, a large healthcare company, is seeking a hand surgeon as a 1099 independent contractor. This role is designed to complement an existing practice, involving on-site patient treatment for approximately 4-hour shifts on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. The surgeon will manage medically complex patients, facilitate return to work, and provide non-surgical and surgical services for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries. Collaboration with medical and therapy providers, communication with employers, and active case management are key aspects of this role. The treatments provided will significantly impact patients' lives.
Requirements
- Licensure requirements of the state of practice
- Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university
- Unrestricted DEA license for state of jurisdiction
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Hand Surgery
- Must have Medical Malpractice Insurance which will cover you while on site

- Preferred experience in treating patients with work related injuries
