About The Position

JBS USA is hiring a Ham Boning Production Supervisor. This salaried role supervises and directs personnel during a production shift, ensuring operations follow sound operating principles and company policies and procedures. The supervisor supports safe, efficient, and productive work through appropriate employee training, timely responses to operational delays, and attention to production schedules. The role also monitors maintenance and sanitation of machinery, equipment, and facilities, ensures production records are prepared and maintained, and collaborates with other supervisors and management to promote teamwork and efficiency across departments and the plant. Attendance at scheduled or called meetings and other duties as assigned are also part of the position. A resume is required. Travel to other facilities, company events, or as a company representative may be required as business needs dictate. New team members undergo post-offer drug, alcohol, and background checks, and employment eligibility must be verified by the end of the third workday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Extensive knowledge and technical skill in a variety of production jobs.
• Supervisory skills.
• Good interpersonal relations.
• Ability to handle conflict.
• Team player with strong leadership skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform the functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willingness and ability to travel as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, evaluate, and direct shift personnel in performing operations according to operating principles and company policies and procedures.
• Promote safety, efficiency, and production productivity, and ensure employees receive proper training.
• Anticipate and identify causes of delays in shift operations and take appropriate action to meet production schedules.
• Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized.
• Arrange for appropriate production records, such as payroll and yields, to be prepared and maintained.
• Work with other production supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork in departments and throughout the plant.
• Attend meetings as scheduled or called.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Travel when business needs dictate, including to other facilities or company events, or as a company representative.
