About The Position

The Ham Boning Production Supervisor oversees personnel and production operations on an assigned shift, ensuring work follows sound operating principles and company policies and procedures. The role supports safety, efficiency, productivity, employee training, production schedules, and the proper maintenance and sanitation of machinery, equipment, and facilities. The supervisor also maintains production records and works with other supervisors and management to promote teamwork and efficiency across departments and the plant. This salaried position may require travel to other facilities, Company events, or other assignments as business needs dictate. A resume is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Extensive knowledge and technical skill in a variety of production jobs.
• Supervisory skills.
• Good interpersonal relations.
• Ability to handle conflict.
• Team player with strong leadership skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform the job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willingness and ability to travel as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, evaluate, and direct shift personnel in performing operations according to operating principles and company policies and procedures.
• Promote maximum safety, efficiency, and production productivity, and ensure employees receive proper training.
• Anticipate and identify causes of delays in shift operations and take appropriate action to meet production schedules.
• Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient production.
• Arrange for production records, such as payroll and yields, to be prepared and maintained.
• Work with other production supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork in each department and throughout the plant.
• Attend meetings as scheduled or called.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
