About The Position

The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, maintain inventory, optimize product placement, and build relationships with retailer teams. The position involves servicing Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores, and may occasionally include work with other companies’ products in those stores. Merchandisers use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily tasks and communication, and may support teammates with seasonal resets, installations, and other field work.

This is a part-time role with a variable weekday schedule, averaging 12–15 hours per week. Work may increase around major holidays and seasonal changes, including extended hours, additional workdays, and on some occasions work on the holiday itself. Resets and remodel assignments may include evening or weekend work; remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance. The role requires travel between assigned stores and physical work on retail sales floors and in stockrooms.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Availability during the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside assigned Hallmark departments.
• Maintain responsibility for the complete Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks, communication with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Support seasonal holiday merchandising, including additional days or extended hours as needed and, on occasion, work on the holiday itself.
• Participate in department resets, including building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers and team members in their territories as needed.
• Travel to and between assigned stores according to schedule.
