About The Position

The Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, maintain inventory, optimize product placement, and build relationships with store teams. The role involves servicing Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass-retail stores, and may occasionally include working with other companies’ products. Hallmark provides a mobile device for merchandising tasks and communication. The position also supports seasonal resets, installations, and fellow merchandisers as needed.

This is a part-time role averaging 12–15 hours per week, with a variable schedule during the work week. Work may increase around holidays and seasonal changeovers, with additional days or extended hours. Some holiday work may be required, including weekends, and reset or remodel assignments may involve evenings or weekends. The starting rate is $16.00–$17.00 per hour depending on skills and experience. Paid training includes live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department at assigned stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, communication with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing surveys for required merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels.
• Support seasonal demand, holiday services, and changeovers, which may require additional days and extended hours.
• Participate in installations and department resets, including building or installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
