About The Position

The Merchandiser independently services the Hallmark department in assigned retail stores, including grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. The role uses organization and time-management skills to maintain product displays and inventory, build relationships with retailers, and represent Hallmark. Merchandisers may also work with other companies’ products in stores and support other team members with seasonal resets and installations.

The position has three main components: day-to-day restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products; additional holiday support that can involve more workdays and longer hours; and department resets, installations, fixture building, and product relocations. Merchandisers use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks, reporting time, communicating with a supervisor, giving feedback, and completing surveys. This is a part-time position averaging 7–10 hours per week, with a variable weekday schedule and required availability around major holidays and for seasonal work.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Have availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products in and outside the Hallmark department at assigned retail stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks, reporting time, communicating with a supervisor, providing feedback, and completing required activity surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional support before and after major holidays, potentially working additional days or extended hours and, on some occasions, the holiday itself.
• Build and install Hallmark fixtures, relocate card departments and products, and reset card sections as part of department reset assignments.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
