About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, maintain inventory and product placement, and build relationships with store teams. You may also support fellow merchandisers with seasonal resets and installations, and on occasion may work with other companies’ products in the stores you service. The role involves servicing Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass-retail stores. Day-to-day work includes restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark inventory, maintaining the full Hallmark display at assigned stores, and using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks and communications with your supervisor. Professional interaction with store employees, management, and customers is important. Seasonal demand means additional workdays and extended hours before and after major holidays. Holiday assignments may include the holiday itself and weekends. Department reset work can involve building or installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may involve evenings or weekends. Merchandisers are part of a field network and may help colleagues in other territories as needed. This physically demanding position involves working on sales floors and in back stockrooms. It requires frequent handling of cartons, merchandise, and fixtures, as well as standing, walking, kneeling, and squatting throughout the workday; climbing stairs or step ladders may also be required. The position averages 10–15 hours per week on a variable workweek schedule. Starting pay is $16.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training includes live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees may access voluntary benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, subject to eligibility.
