As a Merchandiser, you work independently in the Hallmark departments of assigned retail stores, using organization and time-management skills to maintain product displays and inventory and build relationships with store teams. You may also support coworkers with seasonal resets and installations, and may occasionally work with other companies’ products in stores you service. The role includes routine merchandising, seasonal holiday support, and department resets. Using a Hallmark-provided mobile device, you restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products, report time, communicate with your supervisor, provide feedback, and complete surveys for required activities. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores and are expected to interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers. Hours vary during the work week and average 9–12 hours weekly. Additional days and extended hours may be needed around major holidays; working on certain holidays, including weekends, may be required. Resets and installations may include evenings or weekends, and remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance. The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding. Starting pay is $17.00–$19.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care.
