About The Position

As a Field Merchandiser for Hallmark, you will work independently to manage product placement and inventory levels in various retail stores, including grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. This role involves collaborating with local store teams and supporting fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations. On occasion, you may also work with products from other companies in the stores you service. The position is part-time with a variable schedule, averaging 6-8 hours per week, and requires availability around major holidays and for seasonal changeovers. You will be responsible for the entire Hallmark product display in your assigned stores and will be part of a network of merchandisers who support each other as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
  • Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
  • Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
  • Employment is contingent upon signing the Employment Agreement.
  • Employment is contingent upon signing an agreement to arbitrate in connection with the Hallmark Dispute Resolution Program.
  • Employment is contingent upon completing Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification.
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment (post offer) background check.

Responsibilities

  • Restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department, utilizing a mobile device provided by Hallmark.
  • Use technology for day-to-day work, communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys for required merchandising activities.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
  • Be responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
  • Work additional days and extended hours during the weeks leading up to and following major holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
  • Be required to work on actual holidays like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and Father's Day, which may include weekends.
  • Participate in department resets, including building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
  • Support other team members in their territories as needed.
