About The Position

Thom Child & Family Services in Marlborough, MA is seeking a part-time Haitian Creole Interpreter to join their team, focusing on the pediatric population (children birth to 3 years). This role involves assisting Early Intervention Specialists by providing written and verbal interpretation services to families.

Requirements

• Fluent in Haitian Creole/English
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual in Haitian Creole/English required.
• Ability to translate written materials in the pursuit of service delivery (via text or email).
• Ability to meet the required competency level in Microsoft Office Software.

Responsibilities

• Provide translating/interpreting services for Early Intervention Specialists and families during community-based visits, center-based visits, group meetings and remote when necessary.
• Translate written materials such as parent letters, newsletters, narrative reports, IFSPs, and notes.
• Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a team approach to service provision.
• Maintain compliance with all Thom Child & Family Services policies and procedures/DPH regulations and requirements.
