About The Position

JCPenney Salon is seeking a Hair Stylist to provide professional styling services and create a superior client experience. The stylist determines each client’s needs and provides services including current haircuts, finishing, and chemical services. The role calls for professionals who build relationships with clients, understand their expectations, and respond through attentive listening and interaction. Stylists work with salon team members and participate in a learning environment. Compensation includes 50–70% commission based on service sales, credential level, sales, and productivity, plus 10% retail commission with a service. Set your own service pricing. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a bonus of up to $1,000. The stated pay range is USD $11.00–$16.00 per hour. All associates are eligible for a JCPenney merchandise discount. Eligible hourly associates scheduled to work on a designated holiday receive additional compensation.

Requirements

Maintain a current cosmetology license in the state where applying.
