About The Position
Blo Blow Dry Bar Woodson's Reserve is searching for Hair Stylists/Makeup Artists to join their team. This is an opportunity to build a fulfilling career with the original blow dry bar franchise. Blo Blow Dry Bar has over 100 locations and is growing quickly, with a mission to uplift and enhance the community through flawless blowouts and beauty. The bars offer an inclusive space where everyone feels welcomed, represented, and gorgeous. The role offers a predictable hourly wage plus tips, commissions, and bonuses, along with flexible scheduling and benefits such as paid time off and complimentary beauty services/product discounts. The team environment is supportive, with shared clients and a fun atmosphere. Employees will perfect blow out and finishing skills, learn signature techniques, braids, and up-dos, and receive ongoing paid training and education, including access to Blo’s exclusive education platform. Opportunities to learn new skills like makeup and hair extensions (with paid certification) are available, as are career advancement opportunities. All necessary tools and products are provided, and the salon is busy with members, regulars, and new customers. Work may be featured on international social media, with opportunities to participate in photo shoots, fashion shows, and other events. Brand partners include UNITE, Color Wow, Olaplex, and Bare Minerals.
Requirements
- An up-to-date cosmetology license for Texas
- Must work weekends
- A passion for the beauty industry and for making people feel great
- Makeup application experience and/or interest
- Willing to travel between both the Kingwood and Woodson's and perform a variety of salon services
Responsibilities
- Perform beautiful blow outs, braids & up-dos, bridal and hair extension services as well as makeup application.
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Provide expert recommendations that lead to product sales, service upgrades and membership sign-ups
- Participate in regular training and skill-development opportunities
- Work collaboratively and support your teammates
- Participate in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional workspace
