About The Position

Plans, leads, monitors and coordinates activities related to the Hackster Community. Manages projects or assigned projects subcomponents to ensure cost, schedule, scope and deliverable requirements are met. Interfaces and communicates progress of projects.

Requirements

  • Competent in all job functions and has general understanding of the industry practices, techniques and standards.

  • Collaborates with management and team members within the department/function and other areas of the organization.
  • May represent department internally or externally.
  • Typically 3+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Responsibilities

  • Using project management principals, theories, techniques and tools, manages time, cost, schedules, quality, procurement, communication, and risk.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of assigned project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Provides leadership of project team members throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Determines methods and resources needed to achieve project goals, and develops and maintains a detailed work (project) plan.
  • Coordinates activities and works collaboratively with all stakeholders across departments.
  • Facilitates meetings to discuss issues and implementation strategies and solicit alternative points of view.
  • Facilitates problem-solving; and decision-making.
  • Formulates conclusions, recommendations and develops options.
  • Effectively presents and justifies findings and recommendations to management and customers, as appropriate, to gain approval.
  • May manage projects and programs that cross multiple departments/regions throughout the company.
  • May manage vendor relationships and serve as a liaison between vendors and project team members and leadership.
  • May manage vendors including cost, quality, and schedules.
  • Identifies, manages and mitigates issues and risks.
  • Create results report for supplier management, including Hackster on-site and off-site (social) metrics and key insights from programs. Include proposals for future activities.
  • Use Google Analytics to create monthly high-level metrics around visits, views, returning users, and traffic sources with goal of determining results against target and spotting issues pro-actively. Present at monthly standup.
  • Budget management including co-op revenue tracking, payment of content providers and ensuring we are meeting overall budget\spend requirements. Hackster uses a system called “newmoney” which allows quick onboarding of new content providers, authentication and automated payments.
  • Work with compliance teams and warehouse to ensure program contestants receive product and prizes on time. We have an online system we use for shipping that connects directly with our Minnesota warehouse.
  • Work with Community manager to ensure contestants questions are answer via Intercom channel.
  • Work across Programs, Media and Sales to ensure our processes are streamlined and efficient and well documented.
  • Role will work closely with head of programs to run webinars, design contests, educational programs, etc.
