About The Position
BAYADA is hiring a Habilitation Technician (DSP) to provide compassionate care to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. Openings are available in Hickory, Conover, Newton, and surrounding areas. Afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts are available. The role requires at least one year of verifiable work experience with individuals who have intellectual or developmental disabilities. The position involves working independently in a client’s home or community. BAYADA is an accredited, regulated, certified, and licensed home health care provider and complies with applicable state and local mandates.
Requirements
- At least one year of verifiable work experience with individuals who have intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including dressing and grooming.
- Accompany clients on errands and appointments.
- Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation.
- Participate in community integration activities.
- Work independently in a client’s home or community.
