About The Position
Bar George is a lively and elegant dining destination in the heart of Montréal’s Golden Square Mile, blending historic charm with contemporary energy. The setting is ideal for hospitality professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering polished, personable service and memorable guest experiences. Our Hosts create a positive guest experience! They maintain an efficient and organized restaurant through managing guest flow, maximizing seating capacity and communicating with all employees. They share with Guests their passion for food, beverage and hospitality. Hosts leave a lasting impression with all guests through their professionalism and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host or in a guest-facing hospitality role is an asset
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Calm under pressure, with a proactive and team-oriented mindset
- Comfortable using reservation and table management systems (OpenTable) - preferred
- A passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
- Valid Smart Serve Certification Required
- Available to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- This is an AM position
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a host or in a guest-facing hospitality role is an asset

Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a warm, professional, and timely manner
- Manage reservation and walk-in traffic using Open Table
- Monitor table rotation and coordinate with Front Of House and Back Of House teams to optimize guest flow
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the host stand and entrance area
- Answer guest inquiries and assist with special requests, wait times, or accommodations
- Support the overall guest experience with a friendly and attentive approach
- Assist with bussing tables and support the team by running food and beverages as needed
- Other duties as assigned
