About The Position

As a Gymnastics Instructor, you will safely lead members and participants through fun and engaging gymnastics classes. You will provide instruction in gymnastics practices while developing participant’s confidence, skills and abilities.

Requirements

  • One year experience in gymnastics or related teaching experience required.
  • Knowledge of gymnastics terms and skills and the ability to break skills down to a teachable level.
  • Instructors must be at least 14 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Build collaborative relationships with participants and parents to retain class numbers.
  • Instruct participants on proper form and encourage growth in the sport.
  • Record participant progress on skills and report this to the supervisor.
  • Complete class recommendation forms with feedback for parents in a timely manner.
  • Maintain safety of both participants and equipment at all times.
  • Find substitute instructors as needed and provide a prepared lesson plan for them.
  • Take attendance on a daily basis.
  • Act according to facility protocol to ensure safety of all staff and children which includes: Adhere to policies related to boundaries with staff and children, Attend required abuse risk management training, Report suspicious and inappropriate behaviors and policy violations, Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.
