About The Position

The Goochland Family YMCA is seeking part-time, energetic, and experienced individuals to facilitate gymnastics classes for children in their gymnastics program. The role involves developing and implementing a successful, engaging, and fun program for participants. Instructors must be available during the week and weekends.

Requirements

• Enjoy working with children.
• Experience with basic gymnastics knowledge.
• Experience demonstrating appropriate spotting techniques and other skills.
• Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents.
• Physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation.

Nice To Haves

• CPR, AED and First Aid certifications are desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a successful, engaging, and fun program for gymnastics participants.
• Facilitate gymnastics classes with children.
• Move equipment with assistance, up to approximately 100 pounds.
• Spot (catch or lift) children of approximately 100 pounds.
• Respond to critical incidents with visual and auditory ability.
• Act swiftly in an emergency situation with physical ability.
