About The Position

The Goochland Family YMCA is currently seeking a part-time Swim Lesson Coordinator to help supervise, implement, and coordinate our swim lesson programs. This role requires evening and weekend availability. The Swim Lesson Coordinator will assist in providing leadership to our aquatics staff, including managing and training staff and maintaining facility cleanliness. Coordinators should be results-driven and able to build relationships with staff and members. Direct service is required, as well as the flexibility to fill in as needed. Requirements

• Minimum of two years' experience in an aquatics department.
• Lifeguarding experience required.
• Ability to lead a group of lifeguards through in-service scenarios.
• Proficient with a computer and MS Office.
• Must hold current CPR/First Aid/AED certifications.
• Must hold current YMCA/or American Red Cross Lifeguard/or Ellis certification.
• Must hold or obtain within 30 days of hire Oxygen Administration certification.

Nice To Haves

• Degree in wellness or related field is preferred.
• Lifeguard Instructor certification is highly desired.
