About The Position

HOKALI is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Gymnastics Educator to lead after-school gymnastics programs for elementary school students. This role is for instructors passionate about gymnastics, enjoy working with children, and are committed to creating a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment. The educator will teach age-appropriate gymnastics fundamentals and movement skills, foster confidence, coordination, balance, flexibility, and teamwork, and plan and lead engaging classes and activities. They will adapt instruction to different ages and skill levels, facilitate positive social interactions, manage student behavior using positive reinforcement, maintain records, and prepare/organize equipment.

Requirements

• 18+ years of age.
• Experience in gymnastics, coaching, cheer, tumbling, or a related discipline.
• Ability and willingness to complete 3 hours of online training prior to the start date (Concussion Training, Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR).
• Authorization to work in the US.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach age-appropriate gymnastics fundamentals and movement skills to students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade.
• Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
• Foster confidence, coordination, balance, flexibility, and teamwork through gymnastics instruction.
• Plan and lead engaging gymnastics classes and skill-building activities.
• Adapt instruction to different ages, skill levels, and learning styles.
• Facilitate positive social interactions and encourage teamwork.
• Effectively manage student behavior using positive reinforcement.
• Maintain accurate attendance and incident records.
• Prepare and organize equipment and activity materials, keeping the learning space clean and safe.
