About The Position

Support and assist the head coach as needed to ensure the success of the team. This role involves assisting with team practices and competitions, planning and implementing practice sessions, and managing necessary administrative tasks such as league eligibility forms and rosters. The assistant coach will also contribute to recruitment efforts and support other team needs as directed by the head coach, while embracing and fostering the university's mission.

Requirements

• Four-year college degree
• 1+ years coaching at the high school or collegiate level
• Strong leadership experience
• Well-developed communication skills
• Current coaching certifications and/or licenses with the respective governing body
• Valid driver’s license
• Acceptable DMV record
• LU Driving Approval
• Liability insurance

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach with team practices and competitions.
• Assist with the planning, organizing, and implementing team practices.
• Assist with the completion of all necessary league eligibility forms, rosters, and coaching materials.
• Assist in recruitment efforts.
• Assist with team needs as assigned by the head coach.
• Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.
