Gym Floor Finishing Crew Lead (Seasonal) Hillyard, Inc. is currently seeking a Gym Floor Finishing Crew Lead to join our team for a seasonal opportunity. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1–2 years of gym floor finishing, floor refinishing, construction, maintenance, flooring, or related experience preferred.
- Natural leadership abilities and a willingness to help guide and support team members.
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and accountability.
- Ability to work in a physically active, hands-on environment.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and time-management skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Must be willing to travel to project locations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a crew performing gym floor refinishing and restoration projects.
- Assist with moving equipment, materials, and supplies to and from job sites.
- Prepare floors for refinishing, including sweeping, vacuuming, masking, and surface preparation.
- Support and oversee the floor abrasion and refinishing process.
- Apply floor finishes and coatings according to project specifications.
- Delegate daily tasks and help ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Train and mentor crew members on proper procedures, techniques, and safety practices.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project leadership throughout each project.
