We have an opportunity at our corporate office in Chicago for a GVP/Chief Health and Science Officer (Hybrid) on our Health, Science, & Ethics team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 3 days a week in the office. The GVP/Chief Health and Science Officer is a mission-critical intellectual leader of American Medical Association (AMA) initiatives at the interfaces of practice, science, evidence, policy, ethics and technology. Visible, authoritative ambassador for the AMA’s thought leadership to key external audiences and stakeholders in these areas. Marshalls guidance, vision, knowledge, and editorial expertise to AMA Senior Management, Board of Trustees, and House of Delegates on a spectrum from future strategies and plans to board reports. Operational leadership and accountability for: Science, Medicine and Public Health; Ethics Standards; AMA’s USAN program; and Author Services and Publication Planning. Fosters a collaborative, engaging, and professionally supportive culture for AMA physicians on staff across units.
