About The Position

The Gun Range Attendant (Trap and Skeet) is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operation of the Highlands Trap and Skeet range, including greeting visitors, operating a computer, cash register, answering the telephone, loading target throwers rand always demonstrating/requiring safe gun handling measures. May require independent judgment in the disposition of routine matters without direct supervision. Will work under the direct supervision of the Lakes and Parks Assistant Superintendent.

Requirements

Requires exellent customer service skills
Must have basic reading and math skills
Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Must conform to all Bella Vista POA policies and procedures
Requires continual attention to details
Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures

Responsibilities

Attends scheduled in-service training.
Maintains attendance and activity record and completes required reports.
Fills target throwers as necessary.
Assists with or sets up tables, chairs, and other equipment for special events.
Oversees and monitors activities of patrons.
Observes and enforces rules and regulations of the rifle and pistol range.
Offers first aid supplies and call 911, if needed.
Interacts and communicates with the public and other employees in a courteous and professional manner in person and on the telephone.
Operates computer and facility management software.
Make simple mathematical calculations.
Maintains recreational equipment and facility work areas.
Immediately notify the Lakes and Parks Superintendent of any accidents, rescues, or problems that occur.
Provides periodic custodial needs of facility
