About The Position
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Gulfstream G600 Captain for an operation at KOPF airport in Opa Locka, Florida. The Captain will safely operate the aircraft and conduct flights prudently in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, and the approved Aircraft Flight Manual. The Captain reviews aircraft maintenance status, completes the required pre-flight inspection, checks weather and facilities along the route and at planned and alternate airports, protects the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew, and accurately completes trip paperwork. The position requires on-call availability, annual ICAO international procedures training, and a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KOPF or willingness to relocate. Solairus states that crew members are paid between $50,000 and $500,000, with compensation based on geographic area, experience, equipment type or aircraft, job duties, training, and assigned account.
Requirements
- 3,000 total flight hours.
- 1,500 hours PIC.
- 1,500 hours MEL.
- 500 hours MEL PIC.
- 500 hours in turbojet aircraft.
- 250 instrument hours.
- Type rating on a Gulfstream G600 or comparable aircraft.
- First-class medical certificate.
- Ability to work on an on-call basis.
- Ability to complete ICAO international procedures training annually.
- Primary residence within a two-hour drive from KOPF or willingness to relocate.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the Gulfstream G600 aircraft.
- Review the aircraft’s maintenance status.
- Conduct a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Check weather and facilities along the route and at airports to be used, including alternate airports.
- Conduct flights in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Ensure the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew.
- Accurately complete trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
