About The Position
As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music. You will contribute to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and provide an excellent customer experience. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, assist with customer service as needed, and build long-term student relationships. You will also communicate frequently with students and families about progress and goals, building trusting partnerships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child.
Requirements
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as vocals, drums, guitar, or keyboard.
- Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area to be taught.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term students by creating a great experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships.
- Share students’ goals and progress with students and/or their parents frequently.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
