About The Position

Atlanta International School (AIS) offers the full International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum to all students, from 3K through grade 12. The Music Department has an extensive after-school private instruction program and is accepting applications for possible openings for August 2026 and beyond. The school has a set fee schedule for lessons. Lessons staff are part-time AIS employees and are paid through the school.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Music Education (preferred) OR Performance with professional proficiency and experience with teaching, performance, and pedagogy.
• Master or Doctorate level college students with experience in teaching and the recommendation of two college instructors may also apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide private music lesson instructions to students in 30, 45, or 60-minute weekly lessons.
• This is a part-time position, perhaps one or two afternoons per week (instructor sets schedule with parents) from 3:00 PM onward.
