About The Position

We are seeking a Guidewire Developer to support the design, development, configuration, integration, and maintenance of Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, experience working in cloud-based environments, and the ability to collaborate effectively with business partners, clients, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality insurance technology solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years of software development experience.
  • Handson experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration and integration.
  • Experience with Git pipelines including deployment processes, branch creation/management, and token updates.
  • Strong experience with Oracle SQL.
  • Experience with Postman and SoapUI for API testing and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AWS including Lambda functions, SNS queues, and token/key rotation processes.
  • Familiarity with Datadog monitoring and observability tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Insurance industry experience, particularly Property & Casualty (PC) insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, customize, and support Guidewire PolicyCenter applications.
  • Design, develop, and maintain integrations between Guidewire and external systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application integration and production support issues.
  • Develop and maintain Oracle SQL queries, scripts, and data analysis activities.
  • Support CICD processes including Git-based pipelines, deployments, branch management, and credential/token updates.
  • Monitor and support application performance using tools such as Datadog.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, clients, and external vendors to deliver solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Support cloud-based services and integrations within AWS and Azure environments.
  • Document technical designs, configurations, and operational support procedures.
