About The Position

The Guidewire Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing and documenting business requirements related to the Guidewire cloud implementation, enhancement, and optimization of Guidewire Insurance Suite modules (Policy Center, Billing Center, and Claim Center). This role acts as a bridge between stakeholders and technical teams to ensure Guidewire solutions align with business needs and objectives.

Requirements

  • Guidewire Associate Certification in relevant modules is mandatory.
  • Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Agile frameworks (e.g., ScrumMaster).

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and focus groups to understand workflows, pain points, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), functional requirement documents (FRDs), and use case scenarios.
  • Collaborate with developers and architects to design solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Map business processes to Guidewire capabilities and propose configuration/customization options.
  • Define workflows, screen configurations, and business rules within Guidewire modules.
  • Analyze integration points between Guidewire and other systems such as third-party vendors, data warehouses, and payment gateways.
  • Document integration requirements, data flows, and APIs to ensure seamless connectivity.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to create test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria based on business requirements.
  • Participate in system testing, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and address any identified gaps or defects.
  • Support end-users during testing and provide functional expertise to resolve issues.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for business and technical teams during the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate communication and alignment between cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, milestones, and risks.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of workflows, system changes, and functional specifications.
  • Develop training materials and conduct user training sessions to ensure smooth adoption of new functionalities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
  • Propose enhancements to Guidewire functionality to better meet evolving business needs.
