About The Position

The Guestroom Attendant maintains a safe and clean environment for the guests and staff of The Blackwell Inn at Fisher College and Pfahl Hall. This role involves cleaning guestrooms, meeting rooms, offices, restrooms, and public areas. Responsibilities include cleaning doors, staircases, walls, mirrors, and light fixtures, operating electrical cleaning equipment, maintaining floors and carpets, moving furniture, washing windows, removing trash, clearing snow, and cleaning building entrances and walkways. Evening and weekend work is required, with hours varying based on guest activity in the building. This is a full-time position for an operation open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and does require evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months in Custodial Worker 1 title or equivalent experience.
• Documentation of successful completion of department specific, advanced custodian certification testing (examples include Cleaning Management Institute, 3M(TM) S.M.A.R.T. Program, or other certification program recognized in the cleaning industry as reputable).
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.
• Ability to read and write common vocabulary plus.

Nice To Haves

• Strong customer service skills and related work experience in an upscale hotel desired.
• Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks, read directions, and perform basic computer inquiries desired.
