About The Position

This position is for a Guest Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year, working from August to June on an on-call basis throughout the district. The mission of Perris Union High School District is to create high-quality relevant learning opportunities for all in a safe and caring environment. Requirements

• Copy of College Transcript that confers your Bachelor’s Degree or Copy of Valid California Teaching Credential or Substitute Permit
• Passing a pre-employment clearance which consists of a live scan fingerprint clearance, a drug screening and a current verification of a negative TB assessment or chest x-ray.
• A physical exam may also be required depending on the position.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a guest teacher on an on-call basis.
• Provide relevant learning opportunities for students.
• Maintain a safe and caring environment.

Benefits

• Standard 30 Day Emergency Substitute Permit $225 Daily or $32.14 $250 Long Term or $35.71
• Credentialed Guest Teacher $250 Daily or $35.71 $275 Long Term or $39.29
• Long-term rates beginning the first day if the teacher will be out for an extended period.
• For day-to-day long-term assignments, guest teachers will begin earning the long-term rate after the tenth day, rather than after the twentieth day.
