About The Position

CHANDON California, part of LVMH – Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, is seeking extraordinary, high-end hospitality and wine retail professionals for their newly remodeled Chandon Home visitor center in Yountville, CA. This role offers a lifestyle-friendly work environment in the beautiful Napa Valley. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, service-oriented, detail-oriented, a strong team player, communicates effectively, and approaches work with a positive attitude. Previous experience as a host or in a guest-facing role is required. Candidates must be of legal age to serve alcohol and able to lift at least 40 lbs. The role involves delivering exceptional guest experiences, representing and selling Chandon’s wines and Wine Club, and providing concierge services. Responsibilities include assisting with seating, acknowledging special occasions, pouring water, and introducing menus. The role also involves educating guests in the retail store, encouraging Club participation, and assisting with on-site purchases or shipping requests. Efficient service support includes preparing supplies, familiarizing with daily pre-shift documents, ensuring cleanliness, and proficiency in reservation systems and POS. Hosting tastings with proficient wine and storytelling knowledge is also a key responsibility, along with maintaining service stations and adhering to health and safety procedures. Retail duties include maintaining the store's pristine condition, restocking shelves, and supporting inventory management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma; degree in hotel management or relevant field will be a plus.
  • English required.
  • 1 year of experience in a customer-facing environment, hospitality preferred.
  • Able to process point-of-sale functions.
  • Comprehend mathematics to complete guest transactions.
  • Complete multiple tasks with accuracy and diligence.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Time management.
  • Passionate about creating guest experiences.
  • Ability to be in a consumer facing environment for up to 7 hours.
  • Ability to react quickly in a high intensity environment, always maintaining a calm professional demeanor.
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs or one case of wine.

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences by providing upscale service throughout their visit.
  • Represent and sell Chandon’s wines and Wine Club in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Welcome guests, assist with seating assignments, acknowledge special occasions, pour water, and introduce menus.
  • Follow established service standards for all experiences.
  • Convey Wine Club benefits clearly and concisely.
  • Host with heart and share stories through compassionate storytelling.
  • Educate and welcome guests entering the retail store/boutique.
  • Maintain an open posture and assist guests with needs for on-site purchases or shipping requests.
  • Ensure all needed supplies are prepared prior to shift start.
  • Familiarize yourself with daily pre-shift documents, daily visitation, VIP’s, Safety and Service Standards.
  • Ensure efficient flow and cleanliness of all service stations.
  • Be proficient in reservation system and POS.
  • Host tastings with proficient wine and storytelling knowledge.
  • Be responsible for the daily set up of assigned sections when scheduled.
  • Ensure flawless set up, maintenance, and break down of assigned service station.
  • Follow set guidelines for health and (food) safety procedures.
  • Clear vacated tables in a timely manner and ensure tables are re-set for arriving guests.
  • Ensure all wines consumed through experiences are accounted for correctly at the end of each shift.
  • Ensure the retail store remains in a pristine state throughout the day.
  • Take initiative in restocking shelves with wine, merchandise, and packaging.
  • Support restocking of storage rooms as new inventory is being delivered.
  • Think critically and take initiative to identify potential problems and opportunities and innovate proposed solutions in partnership with your leader.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory management standards while optimizing processes.
