About The Position

The Guest Services Team Member is the first point of contact for guests at the Artesia Community Center & Aquatic Center. This role provides excellent customer service and maintains thorough knowledge of the facility’s programs and offerings. The position is part-time and non-exempt, based in Artesia, New Mexico, and reports to the General Manager.

Requirements

Able to work with a wide variety of ages, from preschool through adult.
Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours; regular attendance is necessary.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Excellent guest service skills.
Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm and focused in difficult and stressful situations.
Respectful and friendly toward athletes, guests, visitors, spectators, leaders, and fellow team members.

Responsibilities

Greet guests and provide information and wayfinding as needed.
Provide courteous, friendly, first-in-class service to all guests.
Register guests and process payments for leagues, camps, clinics, drop-in activities, and other offerings.
Know facility program formats, pricing, and meeting dates and times.
Operate multi-line phones.
Record waivers and event information.
Record tournament and league scores and print game sheets daily.
Maintain confidentiality and discretion with guest and team member information.
Professionally resolve guest concerns and complaints or direct them to the appropriate manager.
Know and enforce venue policies and procedures.
Complete special projects, daily assignments, and other duties as assigned.
