About The Position

The Front Desk / Guest Services & Property Operations position is a hands-on, year-round hospitality role supporting all areas of El Western Cabins & Lodges. This is not a traditional front desk position. Our front desk team serves as the communication and operational hub of the property while also working directly in housekeeping, laundry, guest services, grounds, and property maintenance as needed. Responsibilities will vary throughout the year based on occupancy, staffing, seasonal needs, and property projects. We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, proactive, and comfortable stepping in wherever needed to maintain a high-quality guest experience and a well-cared-for property.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hospitality, customer service, front desk, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, groundskeeping, or property-care experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and assist guests with reservations
  • Create and manage reservations accurately
  • Check guests in and out and provide a welcoming guest experience
  • Communicate with guests by phone, text, email, and in person
  • Manage guest folios, payments, deposits, and reservation records
  • Respond to guest questions, requests, and concerns
  • Coordinate daily operations with housekeeping, maintenance, and management
  • Support retail sales and maintain an organized front desk and lobby
  • Handle mail, packages, deliveries, and lost-and-found items
  • Assist with group reservations, events, and property setup
  • Complete full cabin cleans and guest turnovers
  • Perform stayover housekeeping service
  • Make beds and prepare cabins to El Western standards
  • Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and other guest spaces
  • Restock linens, towels, amenities, and supplies
  • Inspect cabins for cleanliness, damage, missing items, and maintenance concerns
  • Wash, dry, fold, organize, and distribute property laundry
  • Maintain clean and organized housekeeping and laundry areas
  • Assist with deep cleaning and seasonal cleaning projects
  • Assist with light groundskeeping and general property cleanup
  • Move supplies, deliveries, outdoor furniture, tables, chairs, and equipment
  • Assist with group and event setup
  • Identify and report maintenance concerns
  • Complete basic repairs and maintenance tasks as trained and able
  • Assist with preventative and deferred maintenance projects
  • Support seasonal property opening and closing procedures
  • Assist with snow removal and winter property upkeep
  • Help with painting, staining, caulking, furniture assembly, organization, minor repairs, and other property improvement projects as trained
  • Assist with preparing cabins, buildings, grounds, equipment, and supplies for the upcoming season
