About The Position
A Pro Shop Attendant acts as the primary point of contact for golfers, managing daily operations, tee times, and customer service in a golf shop. Key responsibilities include checking in members/guests, processing sales transactions, maintaining shop cleanliness, and assisting with merchandise inventory. They often manage cart assignments, provide course information, and support tournament operations. Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 DOE Expected to assist with food service and carts as needed.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful demeanor.
- Understanding of golf rules, etiquette, and terminology.
- Ability to use POS (Point-of-Sale) systems and reservation software.
- Availability to work, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Greeting golfers, managing reservations, checking in players, and answering phone inquiries.
- Handling cash and credit card transactions, selling merchandise, and processing rental equipment fees.
- Stocking, organizing, and displaying merchandise, as well as assisting with inventory counts.
- Assisting with cart staging, monitoring the tee sheet to control pace of play, and performing opening/closing procedures.
- Keeping the pro shop and surrounding areas clean, organized, and tidy.
