Requirements

  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills
  • Must have knowledge of the game of golf
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Must display a professional appearance as outlined in the Audubon Handbook
  • Must be able to work independently and function as a member of the team
  • Must have a high school diploma
  • Must be able to frequently stand, walk or sit for long periods of time
  • Must be able to frequently climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach
  • Must have close visual acuity in order to operate equipment
  • Must be able to work outdoors under conditions ranging from extreme hot to extreme cold
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently up to 20 lbs using proper lifting techniques

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working at a golf facility
  • Previous experience working in a setting that requires strong customer service
  • Previous experience working in a retail setting
  • Ability to play the game

Responsibilities

  • Greet and enthusiastically provide each customer with the court conditions, directions, and any other pertinent information
  • Open and/or close the cart barn
  • Prepare and maintain the golf carts for use, including making sure they are clean, fully charged, operational, and prepped for play with tees, scorecards, and pencils
  • Assist in keeping the golf shop cooler filled with product
  • Maintain cart staging and cart cleaning areas
  • Ensure sand buckets and ice buckets on carts are full
  • Clean and restock rental sets after use
  • Marshall the golf course during busy times as needed
  • Maintain a positive attitude and a strong sense of accountability, fostering a collaborative team environment where everyone feels empowered to contribute.
