About The Position

The Guest Service Ambassador serves as the first point of contact for customers at the forecourt, delivering exceptional service while maintaining a clean, safe, and fully stocked fuel area. This role enhances the customer experience by proactively assisting guests at the pump, promoting in-store offerings, and ensuring the lot and fuel islands always remain customer ready. They will be outgoing, confident, observant, service minded, physically active, safety-conscious, and able to multitask. As a visible representative of our brand, the Guest Service Ambassador is expected to always maintain a professional appearance, including wearing a clean, crisp and complete uniform. This role is not just a "lot attendant"- this individual will be our brand representative.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts including but not limited to nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Effectively present information to Customers, Associates and Management.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from associates, customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in the English language.
  • Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Valid in-state Driver’s License is required.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, use tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, taste or smell.
  • May be required to stock shelves, carry trash containers, work with and around hot cooking equipment and grease and to tolerate gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
  • Will be required to sweep, mop floors, dust shelves, clean restrooms, the parking lot and surrounding areas.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with fueling, payments, loyalty, receipt retrieval, accessibility needs, and issue escalation.
  • Monitor pump activity, maintain safety standards, ensure emergency readiness and identify hazards.
  • Confirm all dispenser components are working, report issues to supervisor and support team, assist with traffic flow.
  • Promote loyalty programs, car wash offers, and in-store promotions.
  • Keep the front court clean: ensure trash, windshield stations (Cleaning fluids, Squeegees, and paper towels), receipt paper and customer ready.
  • Ensure car wash, vacuum, and air operations are functional and customer ready.
  • Maintain a clean and customer-ready forecourt by removing trash, debris, and spills from pump islands, parking areas, and walkways.
  • Ensure fuel pumps are clean and operational: Wiping pumps, screens, and handles regularly.
  • Keep pump toppers, signage, and promotional displays clean, visible, and properly positioned.
  • Assist with directing traffic flow during busy periods to keep fuel lanes moving efficiently.
  • Respond quickly to fuel spills or safety hazards following company safety procedures.
  • Conduct regular forecourt walkthroughs to identify and correct issues before customers notice them.
  • Maintain a visible and approachable presence on the lot to create a safe, welcoming environment for all guests.
  • Promote in-store offers and services (food, beverages, car wash, promotions) to encourage customers to visit the store.
  • Provide service recovery by addressing customer complaints professionally and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Demonstrate fast, friendly, and respectful service in every interaction.
  • Assist customers during high-traffic periods to keep fuel lanes moving efficiently.
  • Support elderly or disabled guests who may need additional assistance with fueling or entering the store.
