Requirements

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a hotel environment, preferably as a Guest Services Agent
  • Friendly, professional, and customer service focused
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Smart Serve certification required
  • Clean criminal background check and ability to uphold guest confidentiality and hotel security standards

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of college or university program in hospitality management is considered an asset
  • Experience using Hotel PMS software considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm, personalized guest experience by assisting with inquiries, requests, arrivals, departures, and overall stay coordination.
  • Manage reservations, room assignments, guest accounts, payments, and daily front desk records while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
  • Promote hotel amenities, services, events, and local attractions while staying knowledgeable about room types, rates, and availability
  • Present statements of charges to departing guests and receive payment; maintain cash float and security of keys
  • Communicate effectively with Housekeeping and other departments to coordinate room readiness, updates, and guest needs.
  • Address guest concerns and complaints professionally, using sound judgment to resolve issues and create positive outcomes.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and contribute to a positive team environment
  • Support operations, cross-train in other departments as needed, and assisting with additional duties as required.
