About The Position

The Courtyard by Marriott in Holland is seeking a part-time Guest Service Representative to join their team. Requirements

  • Minimum knowledge: Ability to interpret/extract information and/or perform arithmetic functions.
  • Typing, basic computer knowledge, record keeping, or word processing skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Minimum formal education of a high school diploma or equivalent related experience.
  • CPR Training (may be completed upon hire).
  • Weekend availability is required.
  • Must have weekend availability.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests in a friendly, positive manner, making them feel welcome and valued.
  • Sell the property according to the Suburban Inns sales standard.
  • Gather appropriate guest data, including address information, credit cards, and signatures.
  • Follow shift checklists to ensure smooth and efficient hotel operations.
  • Record special needs, requests, and occurrences in Quore, and communicate unordinary events to the next shift.
  • Complete required emergency training and stay knowledgeable of all emergency procedures.
  • Maintain a neat and clean workspace at the front desk and adjacent areas.
  • Perform property walk-arounds, address issues, pick up trash, and report safety and security concerns.
  • Settle and reconcile guest accounts and paperwork.
  • Balance cash drawer and make appropriate cash drops.
  • Supply guests with information regarding hotel policies, services, and amenities.
  • Respond to guest requests for assistance and information on the surrounding areas.
  • Handle guest concerns and problem-solve in a tactful, professional manner.
  • Maintain open lines of communication between all hotel departments.
  • Follow all Suburban Inns Processes.
  • Exhibit regular and recurrent attendance records.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
