About The Position

As a Guest Service Associate / Barista, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for every guest at Blue Harbor Resort. This hybrid position supports both the Shoreline Boutique and Café, combining retail sales with food and beverage service. In this role, you’ll assist guests with purchases, prepare beverages and light food items, and ensure a clean, organized, and inviting environment. Guest service associates are essential in hospitality settings, helping anticipate guest needs and deliver a positive, personalized experience.

Requirements

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math and cash-handling skills
• Previous retail or food & beverage experience preferred
• Familiarity with coffee or beverage preparation is a plus
• Must be at least 16 years old

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service
• Anticipate guest needs and offer personalized product and menu recommendations
• Prepare and serve coffee, smoothies, teas, and grab-and-go food items
• Follow recipes and presentation standards for all food and beverages
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of café and retail areas
• Assist guests with retail purchases and promote merchandise
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and assist with inventory counts
• Operate POS system to process transactions, returns, and payments accurately
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions responsibly
• Monitor product freshness and ensure proper food safety standards
• Work collaboratively across retail and food & beverage areas
• Support resort events and assist other departments as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment at all times
