About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Guest Service Agent for a 164-room hotel with full conference facilities and a restaurant. The ideal candidate will have experience, be dependable, possess fantastic customer service skills, and have a strong attention to detail. You will be responsible for creating excellent first impressions, ensuring the highest level of guest service, and adhering to standards and procedures. This role requires a passion for the job, effective communication with other departments, and the ability to make guests' experiences memorable. A positive and professional upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service and exceed guest expectations is essential. Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and understanding) is required.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
  • Engage each guest as a unique individual and listen attentively to their requests.
  • Perform check-ins and check-outs of guests daily with accuracy.
  • Listen to guest complaints/concerns and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Answer the telephone in a timely and professional manner.
  • Be responsible for a cash float throughout your shift and ensure it balances correctly at the end of the shift.
  • Anticipate and address guests' service needs.
  • Ensure billing is accurate and assist guests with billing queries.
  • Reply to all incoming emails and correspondence in OTAs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide local area information with accuracy and provide personal preferences to guests, including booking tours and activities for guests as required.
  • Comply with Coast Canmore Hotel policies and procedures.
  • Learn and adhere to all fire and emergency procedures.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
