About The Position

Sierra Grande, a Ted Turner Retreat, is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Guest Service Agent to join our dynamic front desk team. This pivotal role combines exceptional guest service skills with critical night auditing responsibilities. You will be the welcoming face of our retreat during day, evening and overnight hours, ensuring every guest experiences the ultimate in comfort and satisfaction while also handling essential accounting and administrative duties. As a Guest Service Agent / Night Auditor, you are the first and last point of contact for our guests. You play an essential role in delivering outstanding service from arrival through departure while ensuring the accuracy of nightly financial reporting and front desk operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and provide exceptional service to guests.
  • Primarily overnight availability required, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Typical schedule includes overnight hours (approximately 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM), with flexibility to work day and evening shifts as needed to support front desk operations.
  • Present documentation establishing both identity and employment authorization within three days of hire pursuant to federal law.

  • Proficiency in computer systems and hotel management software.

Responsibilities

  • Providing a smooth and well-coordinated check-in and check-out experience, including greeting guests, assisting with luggage, conducting room/property tours, and coordinating departure logistics.
  • Anticipating guest needs and coordinating with other departments to fulfill requests promptly and professionally.
  • Assisting with guest inquiries, reservations, and special requests in person and over the phone.
  • Scheduling and confirming guest wake-up calls, activities, spa services, dining reservations, and excursions.
  • Performing room inspections and placing welcome notes and itineraries in guest rooms.
  • Handling retail transactions and processing spa, guide, retail, and room charges accurately.
  • Addressing guest feedback and resolving concerns with professionalism and discretion.
  • Performing nightly audit procedures, verifying daily transactions, and reconciling guest folios.
  • Preparing and validating the daily status report and ensuring all charges are properly posted.
  • Processing credit card authorizations, folio adjustments, and payments.
  • Maintaining accurate cash handling procedures, including recording tips, balancing the cash drawer, and securing cash/check deposits.
  • Assisting in maintaining accurate financial and operational records.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front desk, lobby, entrance, and public restrooms, including sweeping, mopping, sanitizing fixtures, and emptying trash.
  • Assisting with spa laundry duties, including collecting, washing, drying, folding, and restocking linens and robes.
  • Assisting with preparation of hot mineral soaks as needed.
  • Supporting overall property operations and performing additional duties as assigned.
