About The Position

The Kalispel Tribe of Indians is an Equal Opportunity Employer. This position is for a Guest Server Assistant at KGCC Restaurants. The role involves ensuring compliance with tribal and company policies, understanding menu offerings, seating guests, communicating with colleagues, welcoming guests with Kalispel hospitality, handling incoming calls, assisting with food running, resetting tables, completing side work, resolving guest complaints, attending training, and performing other duties as assigned by management. Employment is at-will and subject to drug testing and background investigation. Indian preference applies in hiring.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Washington State Mandatory Alcohol Server Training Certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Work Permit 2.
  • Valid health card.
  • Hepatitis A vaccination.
  • Excellent customer relations and customer service skills.
  • Skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One to three months related experience and/or training helpful; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with sit-down restaurant operation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- Internal Controls, and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures.
  • Know daily and seasonal menu offerings and dish plating and appearance
  • Seat guests in a timely and appropriate manner, using server rotation in our Dine Time system
  • Communicates with other GSA’s
  • Welcome guests and provide attentive and friendly Kalispel service
  • Receives, appropriately greets and transfers all incoming callers in a polite, expedient and accurate manner.
  • Will assist in food running to deliver great food in a timely manner when assigned or as needed
  • Resets tables when assigned and as needed. Details tables, chairs and floor.
  • Complete all side work in a timely and satisfactory manner to ensure a clean, neat work area with adequate supply level.
  • Resolve any guest complaints, problems with food or service and pass on to shift supervisor.
  • Attend all training meetings.
  • Assist in other projects, as directed.
  • Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for Business Levels.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular good attendance record.
  • May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings.
  • Smiles and makes guests feel special.
