Requirements

  • Prior housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred; luxury or boutique environment a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet productivity and quality standards within assigned time frames.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Ability to follow brand standard operating procedures and room-inspection checklists.
  • Availability to work varied shifts, including mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods and lift/carry up to 35–50 lbs. as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and service an assigned quota of guest rooms daily to established brand standards of excellence.
  • Make beds, change linens, and arrange bedding and pillows per brand presentation standards.
  • Dust, polish, and sanitize all guest room and bathroom surfaces, fixtures, and furnishings.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including tubs, showers, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
  • Replenish guest amenities, linens, towels, and in-room collateral according to brand par levels.
  • Vacuum carpets and clean hard-surface floors in guest rooms and hallways.
  • Empty trash and recycling and remove room service trays and debris from guest rooms.
  • Inspect guest rooms for damage, maintenance issues, and safety hazards; report immediately to Housekeeping/Engineering.
  • Restock and organize the housekeeping cart with linens, supplies, and amenities at the start and end of shift.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests while servicing rooms.
  • Push and maneuver a loaded housekeeping cart weighing up to 100 lbs. throughout the shift.
  • Lift, carry, and turn mattresses; lift/carry up to 25–35 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Bend, kneel, reach, and stand for the duration of the shift (typically 8 hours) while cleaning.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and secure guest room access at all times.
  • Follow all safety, bloodborne pathogen, and chemical handling (SDS) protocols.
  • Report lost and found items per hotel procedure.
  • Adhere to company grooming, uniform, and conduct standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
