About The Position

Laguna Surf Lodge by SCP Hotels is seeking a Full Time and Part Time Guest Room Attendant. This role offers competitive pay of $22 per hour with opportunities for personal and professional growth. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered, paid out after 90 days of service for employees in good standing. The Guest Room Attendant is responsible for anticipating guest needs, maintaining guest satisfaction, and ensuring a sparkling-clean and organized guest room. This includes tasks such as making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, removing trash, performing turndown service, and maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment. The role also involves adhering to hotel policies, promoting safety and security, and reporting maintenance issues.

Requirements

  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Must be able to follow instructions, both verbally and written, accurately.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in other languages is beneficial.
  • Previous Housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests.
  • Observe guest reactions and confer with team members to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times and resolve guest complaints.
  • Follow Hotel policies with lost and found items.
  • Adhere to Hotel requirements for guest and team member accidents or injuries and in emergency situations.
  • Continuously promote sanitation, safety, and security efforts.
  • Encourage Social Media/5-star compliments or reviews on OTA’s.
  • Provide a sparkling-clean, obsessively-organized guest room by making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, door hangers, and laundry bags, and organizing promotional materials.
  • Perform turndown service or other actions to prepare the room for imminent guest arrival.
  • Clean extra rooms above daily quota upon request.
  • Organize, maintain, and take inventory of linens, cleaning supplies/equipment, and amenities.
  • Keep all supplies, cleaning materials, and clean linens secure, free of clutter and hazards, and in assigned storage areas.
  • Ensure equipment and facilities are inspected, cleaned, and always in proper operational conditions.
  • Appropriately notify a Supervisor or Engineer of maintenance issues.
  • Inspect, plan and ensure that all materials and equipment are ready for service.
  • Maintain knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
