This position is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the hotel guest rooms. The role involves promoting superior guest service and maintaining a positive organizational culture. The attendant will be responsible for tasks such as making beds, cleaning bathrooms and floors, vacuuming, dusting, and replenishing linens and amenities. They will also arrange toiletries and bedroom amenities to set standards, maintain cleaning equipment, and keep carts and linen racks neat. Reporting any maintenance issues or uncommon conditions to a Housekeeping Supervisor is also a key part of the role. Additionally, the attendant must follow chemical and key control procedures, maintain cleanliness and inventory in storage areas, and assist with recycling efforts. Other assigned projects may also be part of the duties.
