Provides guests with assistance throughout the facility, including directions, patient locations, and hospital amenities. Communicates information clearly and precisely, listens to complaints with a calm demeanor, and provides personal attention and teamwork to address patient, family, and staff requests. Assists in identifying patient and family needs and secures appropriate referrals and services, considering cost-effectiveness and customer service improvement. May include services for patients and families under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and those with limited English proficiency (LEP). Supervises waiting rooms, maintains knowledge of family member locations, facilitates communication between families and healthcare professionals, and assists families in locating patients. Communicates condition reports per departmental policy and maintains a clean and safe environment in family waiting areas. Responds to emergency, crisis, and disaster situations. Maintains appropriate training related to Service Excellence and Performance Improvement Initiatives. Collects data to identify areas needing improved customer service and assists leaders with recommendations for policy changes. Accurately records and submits documentation for services provided, including transportation vouchers, bus passes, and emergency clothing. Assists leaders with the evaluation of the Guest Relations Program, customer satisfaction, and development of educational plans and quality management guidelines. Maintains communication with the Guest Relations Manager regarding department issues and requests assistance as needed. Performs notarizations for healthcare documents as appropriate.
