Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year customer service experience required
  • Prior cash handling experience preferred
  • Must have greater than average computer proficiency; strong computer and keyboards skills
  • Must be neat, accurate, well organized
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must enjoy working with the public and have excellent customer service skills
  • Maintain a positive/friendly attitude often under stressful conditions with both co-workers and guests
  • Flexible, take initiative and work successfully in a team environment
  • Adhere to all safety policies
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s Service Excellence standards
  • Employment for this job is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check
  • Position requires working weekends and holidays as needed; extended time off for non-emergency situations is not allowed due to the seasonality of the position
  • Must be minimum 18 years of age
  • Communicate clearly in English both in person and on the phone
  • Must be able to stand and work on a computer for long periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Sell and promote a variety of products and services including summer products such as daily tickets as well as season passes for the Gondola or Bike Park and winter products such as Ikon passes or First Track Passes
  • Assist with season pass purchases and follow up of installment payments
  • May work in various locations: Main Ticket Office in One Steamboat Place and Sunset Happy Hour at base of Steamboat gondola
  • Maintain and enforce company and ticket office policies and procedures
  • Make adjustments on lift tickets while following policies set up by the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp.
  • Accountable for all receipts collected and daily reconciliation of computer sales station
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and provide continued exemplary service in a fast paced, high volume work environment
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
  • May work outside with remote sales
  • Perform other duties as assigned
