About The Position

This position at Rip City Management plays a key role in welcoming guests to the venue and creating lasting memories through knowledgeable interactions. The Guest Experience Teammate contributes to making guests' nights extraordinary, whether they are attending a sporting event or a concert. The role involves greeting and assisting guests, forming relationships, and acting as a resource for information about the venue and event processes. The team member will interact with diverse guests, be inclusive, and support the team with various tasks such as bag checks, guest navigation, and seat finding.

Requirements

  • At least 16 years of age.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in conversational English, including following verbal and written direction.
  • Possess effective social and oral communication skills.
  • Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasionally holidays, and meet minimum availability requirements.
  • Ability to move around the venue for several hours at a time, including handing out materials, climbing stairs, bending, reaching, moving barriers and boxes, and holding equipment, frequently.
  • Ability to work in areas that include confined spaces (elevators or stairwells), exposure to height, and crowds.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as a team with people of a diverse set of backgrounds and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting and assisting guests with various inquiries throughout the duration of the shift.
  • Forming relationships with guests and team members.
  • Assuming responsibilities of a variety of positions such as: Ticket Taker, Usher, Wheelchair Attendant, Directional.
  • Improving the guest experience by treating every interaction as an opportunity to create an extraordinary moment.
  • Acting as a resource for guests and team members by being knowledgeable of the Moda Center, Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum spaces, points of interest and event processes.
  • Interacting with diverse guests at each outstanding event and being inclusive in welcoming all guests and team members.
  • Supporting the team where it is needed most such as with assisting with bag checks, helping guests navigate through the arena, and supporting guests in finding their seat locations.
